We currently collect and process the following information:

How we get the personal information and why we have it
All of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- To process a booking to stay at Garth Cottage
- To complete Guest identification for staying at Garth (anti-fraud)
- To mitigate Guest damage, theft, or breaches of contract
We also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:
- Booking platforms such as Trip Advisor, VRBO will provide us your email address and contact telephone number for booking purposes
We use the information that you have given us to ensure that we have the correct legitimate Guest staying at our property.
We may share this information with Police, NHS Wales Track and Trace (COVID-19 Pandemic) if the details used were inaccurate or fraudulent, or that damage/additional costs have been caused at Garth by a Guest (or party of that Guest) or “persons unknown” invited to Garth without the consent of Owners where CCTV images are stored/if available and not overwritten automatically.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are.
(a) Your consent. You can remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting H Fisher, Garth, Mill Street, Betws-y-coed, Conwy, LL24 0BB or firstname.lastname@example.org unless the data forms part of evidence under a legal matter, then we will write to you.
(b) We have a contractual obligation. This forms part of the booking process to ensure we have the correct Guest details and to ensure that identification is verified.
(c) We have a legal obligation. To ensure that we have the correct Guest details, and, in the event, there is damages/criminal investigation/ other costs incurred because of Guests/persons unknown invited by Guests to our property, this will be passed onto the Police/local authorities including our Legal Representatives.
(e) We need it to perform a public task. To ensure we can provide the NHS Wales Track and Trace process with Guest contact details, should a positive COVID-19 case be identified at our property and removed 21 days after departure from our records.
(f) We have a legitimate interest. To complete the booking/stay at Garth. CCTV at the premises is for property security and deterrent from theft/damage/breach of contract.
How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored on our secure data system.
We keep name and contact details for up to 12 months. We will then dispose your information by purging your records from our system. Your details are not used for Marketing purposes and we do not relay your details to a third party to conduct Marketing activity or any other activity on our behalf.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
